Zoe qualified in 2006 and was inspired by a passionate mentor that community was the area of midwifery for her. Zoe is passionate about community care and the close relationships that she builds with families, as well as ensuring that women are provided with high-quality, safe care during one of the most important events of their lives.
Zoe has spent the last 11 years working in the community and her current role is community midwifery team manager at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. During this time she has regularly been involved in all aspects of community care.
“Although rare, I feel we need to be fully prepared if emergencies occur in the community setting. I feel that teaching for Baby Lifeline gives me an opportunity to share my skills and experience, and hopefully improve safety and outcomes in these situations, by not only giving delegates a safe environment to practice scenarios but also to develop discussions around areas of good practice to take back to their trusts and impact their practice.”
