Samantha Meegan

Senior Lecturer in Midwifery, Birmingham City University

Samantha is currently a senior midwifery lecturer within a large University. She has been leading modules for student midwives focusing on developing skills within obstetric and neonatal emergency situations since 2013. She teaches on a wide range of modules across the pre-registration midwifery curriculum as part of both large and small group teaching.

Samantha is qualified within examination of the newborn as part of the Public Health England NIPE screening programme (PHE 2019) and assesses both student and qualified midwives to undertake this role within clinical practice. She has a clinical background within transitional care of the newborn as well as an interest in newborn life support.
