Paediatric Ophthalmology Fellow

Miss Arundhati Dev Borman

MD(Res), FRCOphth

Paediatric Ophthalmology Fellow, Manchester Royal Eye Hospital

Arundhati is currently in post as a Clinical Fellow in Paediatric Ophthalmology at the Manchester Royal Eye Hospital. She completed her Ophthalmic Specialist Training, in 2015, in the East of England Deanery, having started her training in the South Thames Region. During this time, she completed a research degree from University College London, gaining an MD(Res) for her research into Genotype – Phenotype Associations in Childhood Onset Retinal Dystrophies. This fuelled an interest in genetics, and yielded a number of publications in peer reviewed journals and National / International presentations.

In addition, she is a Trainee Member of the British Isles Paediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus Association. None of these heavy clinical and research commitments would have been possible, however, without a keen interest in yoga, which has enabled a better work life balance.
