Mike is a member of the firm’s clinical negligence and personal injury team, specialising in complex clinical negligence and brain injury work for claimants. He is a very experienced inquest advocate and has experience of GMC representation.
He has achieved many multi-million pound settlements (mainly for severely disabled children or brain injured adults), including one of the largest ever settlements at £9million. He is also leading a Group Action for over 100 women in Cornwall treated by Gynaecologist Rob Jones at Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust.
In 2003, Mike was appointed assistant Deputy Coroner for Derbyshire, a position he retains to date. He is an accredited specialist panel solicitor for Action against Medical Accidents (AvMA), a member of the APIL Specialist Clinical Negligence Panel and lectures regularly to lawyers and doctors.
Mike led on the highly topical group action case against the Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust, which was widely reported in the press.
