Marie trained as nurse in Scotland and has worked in general surgical, general ICU and surgical HDU. She also trained as a midwife in 2000, working at St Marys, where she developed the HDU in maternity.
She moved to Queen Charlottes in 2013 to take up post as Lead Midwife for obstetric HDU, where she managed all obstetric critical care woman and is one of the only obstetric HDU’s that use CPAP. Marie completed her masters in critical care in 2014 where her dissertation was on the use of fibrinogen concentrate in massive obstetric haemorrhage. She is currently in the process of trying to have this published.
