Anita Banerjee

Committee member for UKOSS, maternal critical care subgroup and an MBRRACE assessor. 

Anita trained as an endocrinologist and diabetologist in North West London before taking up her first consultant post in South London.

Her main interests are in maternal health and medical education. She is a committee member for UKOSS, maternal critical care subgroup and a MBRRACE chapter writer and assessor. She is a member of the London Maternity Clinical Leadership Group and Clinical network member for Maternal Mortality and Morbidity. Anita has led on the acute kidney injury obstetric bundle for the London Acute Kidney Injury Network.

She is a national and international leader in interdisciplinary maternal medicine education and simulation. She has led on developing the enhanced medical problems in pregnancy section of the new MOET course for 2020. She is the course director for the Medical Emergencies in Obstetrics (MEmO) simulation course running since 2015. She has been involved in curriculum design for midwives and doctors in training for high risk maternal medicine. Anita has been instrumental in developing the new Baby Lifeline course of Enhanced Maternal Care.
