Alison Clark

Senior Sister – Postnatal Ward Manager, Medway NHS Foundation Trust

Ally qualified as a midwife in 2009 and spent 6 years working as a midwife providing intrapartum and antenatal care on the high-risk delivery suite and co-located birth centre. Her love of Midwifery education led her to spend the next 4 years working as a Senior Clinical Education Midwife providing training and clinical support to the large group of midwives at Medway Foundation Trust in Kent. She is an accredited Prompt trainer working as part of a team delivering multi-professional obstetric emergency skills courses both in the hospital and in the community setting. Ally has also been involved in running training sessions for paramedics and loves sharing her midwifery knowledge with both midwifery and paramedic students.

In November 2019 Ally started a new adventure as Postnatal Ward Manager. She will continue to be involved in both emergency skills training and obstetric simulation in order to ensure future healthcare professionals have the skills to effectively manage emergencies in all settings.
