Meet the Team: Zoe

Zoe joined Baby Lifeline Training in April as the Digital Communications and Events Manager after relocating from South Wales. Graduating in 2012 with a Journalism degree, Zoe chose to move into marketing and has since worked in several different sectors including: Recruitment marketing, Estate Agency, Manufacturing, Events, and now Training.

She has skills and experience in Digital Marketing, Social Media, Content writing, Website Management, SEO and Event Management and now she’s bringing them to Baby Lifeline Training!

Let’s introduce you to Zoe:

What made you interested in Baby Lifeline?
I was in close contact with a lovely recruiter called Emma. I told her that I needed the perfect job so when I move to Birmingham, I’m not hating my job in six months’ time. When she sent over the job spec for Baby Lifeline, I knew I had to apply for it. The introduction to the company immediately drew me in and once I had interviewed and met with Kay and Judy, the passion they had for the company, the love for what they do – I knew I wanted to be a part of the team and help put a stamp on marketing the company. Thankfully they felt the same and so here I am!

What made you relocate from Wales?
My partner starts a teaching job in September, and at my previous job I was at-risk of being made redundant. I was planning on relocating to Birmingham in the summer anyway, so I decided to start looking for a job up here that way they wouldn’t make anyone redundant.

You’ve been working at Baby Lifeline for just over two months now, how are you finding it?
It’s great! We’re a small, tight-knit team so you get to know everyone really well and you all chip in and help each other out. Everyone is helpful and supportive, especially as I’m still getting my bearings on what needs to be done.

If you didn’t go into marketing, what other profession would you have considered?
I always wanted to be a Foreign Correspondent. I wanted to report from war-torn countries and see, experience and report first hand on the conflicts.

What’s the one piece of advice you stand by?
‘You can completely change your life in an instant’ – whichever way you take it, I stand by it.

What are your hobbies?
I love relaxing with a book, and I love writing too – I have so many half-written books. I should really finish at least one. Travelling is a big passion of mine too. For Christmas I received a ‘Scratch World Map’ and I’d love to scratch the whole world off one day.
