This conference is being staged in
collaboration with the Coombe
Hospital and its Master Dr. Chris Fitzpatrick. The
programme will include presentations from eminent and leading clinicians and
lawyers from the UK and Ireland.
Topics to be covered
include:
- What are the different types of cerebral palsy?
- How does cerebral palsy affect the individual?
- What are the antenatal and intrapartum
antecedents to cerebral palsy?
- What is the role of premature delivery?
- What are the medico-legal costs and how are
they calculated?
- What are the possible preventative measures and interventions that reduce the
damage caused?

Francesca is an award-winning comedian who has toured internationally
including sell-out runs at the Edinburgh Festival, the Melbourne Comedy Festival
and the prestigious Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal. She has recently
completed a 33-date UK tour and two Off-West-End London runs at the famous
Tricycle Theatre and the legendary Hackney Empire.
Francesca’s a regular face on TV and is most known for her starring role in
Ricky Gervais’ EXTRAS. Ricky is a huge supporter of hers and hand-wrote the role
for her. He also appeared on her non-broadcast chat-show where she interviewed
him: YouTube Video.
Francesca has also guested on many prime-time chat-shows including
THE FRANK SKINNER
SHOW. Last year, she made global headlines when she became the first Olympic
Torch Bearer to pull out of the London relay in protest over China’s treatment
of Tibet: YouTube Video.
Francesca has performed all over the world including Ireland, South Africa,
Canada, America – on Broadway - and at last year’s World Economic Forum in Davos,
Switzerland, where she performed alongside actress, Emma Thompson.
She is currently working on her sitcom pilot which is being produced by the
Golden-Globe winning producer of ‘Extras’, has just been offered a major book
deal and is developing a feature documentary called WHAT THE HELL IS NORMAL?!
which will see her travel around looking for a ‘normal’ person… she’s never met
one, have you?
Oh yeah, and she has mild cerebal palsy but she much prefers the word ‘wobbly’
as she explains on hit Irish chat-show,
